Description

Achappam, also known as Kerala Rose Cookies, is a Traditional deep-fried Snack made from Batter of Rice Flour, Coconut Milk, Eggs, Sugar, and Sesame Seeds, using a special Iron Mold to achieve its signature Shape. The origin of Achappam is believed to be influenced by Portuguese and Dutch Settlers who arrived in Kerala during the 15th–17th centuries who had similar Snacks like the Scandinavian Rosette Cookies and Portuguese Filhós, Achappam was adapted by Keralites using native Ingredients such as Coconut Milk and Rice Flour.
