Avalose Podi (അവലോസ് പൊടി)

Avalose Podi is a Traditional roasted Rice Flour Snack, made by roasting Rice Flour and grated Coconut. The ancient Kerala agrarian Communities, harvested Rice and the abundant Rice was preserved by roasting the ground Rice Flour with Coconut to prevent Spoilage and increase Shelf Life. The Avalose Podi is prepared in large quantities and stored for months. It is served as an instant Food mixed with Sugar, Jaggery, or Banana, making it an easy and filling Meal. It is commonly had as an evening Snack with Tea and is a nostalgic comfort Food for the Malayalis.

Ingredients: Rice Flour, Grated Coconut, Cumin Seeds, Salt and Cardamom Powder
